WWE NXT Results for 09/25/19, Plus Three Matches Advertised for Next Week

This week was the second week where NXT aired on USA Network for the first hour and then WWE Network for the second hour. Our regular NXT reviewer Jim Kress was unable to review it and I just haven’t had time, plus I’m pretty burned out from everything of late. It’s two days later now, so I’m just going to post the results here and let you know what’s coming next week.

Keith Lee defeated Dominik Dijakovic.

Dakota Kai defeated Taynara Conti.

Matt Riddle defeated Killian Dain in a Street Fight. As a result of the victory, Riddle will challenge Adam Cole for the NXT Title on next week’s NXT show.

Rhea Ripley defeated Kayden Carter.

Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch defeated Ever-Rise (Chase Parker and Matt Martel)

Cameron Grimes defeated Raul Mendoza.

Kushida and Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) defeated Imperium (Alexander Wolfe, Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel)

The match with Riddle beating Dain was very good and I’d rate it at around ***1/2 out of five. I would go about the same for the Lee win over Dijakovic although I think they had a better match a few weeks ago on NXT. Everything else on the show was just average. Next week is much bigger.

Here’s the lineup for next week’s NXT on Wednesday, October 2 for two hours on USA Network.

NXT Championship: Adam Cole (c) vs. Matt Riddle

NXT Women’s Championship: Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Candice LaRae

NXT Tag Team Championships: The Undisputed Era (c) vs. The Street Profits

That’s all for now.
