Updated Card for WWE Backlash on May 6

The next major WWE pay-per-view featuring the Raw and Smackdown brands is called Backlash on May 6th. This Friday is the Greatest Royal Rumble event from Saudi Arabia, but that’s not a typical WWE PPV event. Backlash is up next and while GRR is getting all the attention this week, some matches have been announced for the Backlash card.

Samoa Joe vs. Roman Reigns – This could be a Universal Championship match if Reigns beat Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at GRR. It could also be an Intercontinental Title match if Samoa Joe wins the IC TItle at GRR. I think it will be a Universal Title match.

Intercontinental Championship: Seth Rollins vs. The Miz – Rollins defends against The Miz because Miz gets a rematch as the former champion. Miz is also part of the 4-Way ladder match at GRR with Rollins, Finn Balor and Samoa Joe. Miz has also been moved to Smackdown.

Daniel Bryan vs. Big Cass – It was announced on Smackdown this week.

Raw Women’s Championship: Nia Jax vs. Alexa Bliss – Jax defends against the former champion with Bliss getting her rematch.

Smackdown Women’s Championship: Carmella vs. Charlotte Flair – Charlotte gets her rematch as the former champion.

Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton is rumored for the US Title, but it’s not official and not on yet.
