Roman Reigns will face Bray Wyatt at WWE Hell in a Cell in Los Angeles on October 25. The match will be contested inside the ominous Hell in a Cell, which would make it the first time that either man has been in a HIAC match. The match was announced officially on Smackdown.
The only other official match announced for Hell in a Cell is The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar, which is also going to be a HIAC match. Seth Rollins defending the WWE Title against Kane is also likely for the show.
JC’s Take: It makes sense that they are having a Hell in a Cell match since the cage with the roof on it is designed to keep other people out of the ring, but that isn’t always what happens.
If it’s a clean match with no interference then Reigns will win as the babyface. However, if there is interference from Braun Strowman, Luke Harper or perhaps a returning Erick Rowan then Wyatt will win and the feud will continue. For right now I’ll probably pick Reigns because I think he needs it.
I also think it’s possible that they do Randy Orton and Dean Ambrose against Braun Strowman and Luke Harper as well.
Looking past Hell in a Cell, it makes sense for the Wyatt Family to team up against Reigns and friends in a traditional Survivor Series match as well. Even with the HIAC match, it’s not going to be the end of this rivalry.
