Shelton Benjamin, former Intercontinental and WWE Tag Team Champion, has reportedly signed a contract with WWE and will be returning soon. This is according to PWInsider.
Benjamin was originally scheduled to return to WWE during the summer of last year when the brand split happened. He was going to be a part of SmackDown Live and a video package was even aired hyping his return. However, soon after the announcement of Benjamin’s return, Benjamin would learn that he had a torn rotator cuff and needed surgery to repair it. Benjamin underwent surgery to fix this issue, returned to wrestling in the spring wrestling on indies and he has now fully recovered.
It is currently unknown which brand Benjamin, who is now 42 years old, will appear on when he comes back. Nonetheless, PWInsider states that his return will be “soon.”
