Former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Kota Ibushi has turned down a full-time deal to work with World Wrestling Entertainment.
Ibushi confirmed this in a recent interview with Japanese media when he said, “No. I refused to sign the full time deal with WWE. But I think I may keep wrestling in WWE as spot.” Ibushi also goes on to say that he wants to become the most famous wrestler in the world and is currently booked to wrestle some matches in Japan.
For the last five weeks, Ibushi has been wrestling for WWE in the Cruiserweight Classic. He’s made it to the quarterfinals of that tournament and is a favorite to win.
