Is Chris Jericho Back With WWE Full Time?

Chris Jericho is now back as a regular with WWE and is expected to stay with the company until the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, reports Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer Live show earlier today.

At last night’s Night of Champions PPV, Chris Jericho made his return to WWE as the mystery partner for Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns’ match against Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Braun Strowman aka The Wyatt Family.

Alvarez commented that on tonight’s edition of Raw, the tension between Jericho, Reigns and Ambrose will continue, which will lead to Jericho turning into a heel once again.

Ski’s Take – When Jericho entered the arena last night, I thought his appearance would be a one and done commitment. What with the outside work with his rock band Fozzy and his acting career. So it’s quite surprising that Chris has signed a potential 7 month full time deal. He has wrestled on a part time basis for the last 6 months, but it was reported he didn’t want to be on TV and would work house shows.

I’m very excited about this. Jericho as a heel would be a big advantage for the company right now, due to the distinct lack of big time heels. Would it be the uber smart, smooth slow talking heel from his 07 run (which this blogger loved), would it be the cocksure persona from over 10 years ago, or would it be another reinvention of the man. It’s widely known that he loves to change things up.

Also this potential feud (or rivalry if you’re inside Titan Towers) could be dynamite for Roman Reigns. For whatever reason he still can’t connect with the fans, and with management grooming him for a world championship win in the near future, Jericho could be the one that finally makes the fans get behind him. Or they could go the other way and have him tussle with Dean Ambrose. The two of them verbally sparring over the mic has gold written all over it.

Either way, I’m sold on this idea. Jericho has no qualms in putting over younger talent, and both Ambrose and Reigns would do well with the rub from the veteran.
