Batista Comments on Why He Will Miss WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony This Year Due to Previous Obligations

There’s a bit of a change to this year’s WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony. One of the big names in the 2020 Hall of Fame class was going to be former six-time WWE World Champion Dave Bautista aka Batista. However, Batista is not going to be part of the ceremony and he posted this tweet today to explain why.

Batista is currently filming the movie Thor: Love And Thunder in Australia right now. If he were to come back for the Hall of Fame, there would likely be a quarantine process and it would be a long flight back to Australia. It just makes sense to delay it until perhaps next year.

That means the 2020 Hall of Fame class will include:

New World Order (Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Sean Waltman)

John “Bradshaw” Layfield

The British Bulldog

The Bella Twins (Nikki Bella, Brie Bella)

Jushin “Thunder” Liger

The 2020 Hall of Fame class will be joined by the 2021 Hall of Fame group because there was no ceremony last year due to COVID-19 restrictions. The first two names announced for WWE Hall of Fame 2021 are Molly Holly and Eric Bischoff.

The next name expected for the 2021 Hall of Fame is Rob Van Dam. That formal announcement is likely coming tomorrow.
